In the UK we are the leading expert in the development and manufacture of electrical distribution and automation and control products. We offer a full range of services for panel builders, OEMs, contractors, specifiers and the electrical supply industry for commercial and industrial applications.
Employing in excess of 2,200 people in over 12 sites across the country, in 2006 we achieved sales of more than £330 Million.
With products from the leading brands of Merlin Gerin, Telemecanique and Square D Schneider Electric is at the forefront of the electrical industry.

Through our high profile Merlin Gerin brand, we have become one of the foremost suppliers of electrical distribution equipment for the electrical supply, infrastructure, utility and building industries.
Our electrical distribution products are classified as follows;
Low voltage products such as circuit breakers, switches, safety lighting, prefabricated busbar trunking, modular switchgear, Power Line Carrier communication networks and Voice-Data-Image solutions are essentially targeted to the Building market.
IS&C (Installation Systems and Control) equipment is used in both residential and commercial applications. Products include a range of wiring devices, installation materials such as cable containment, as well as communication networking and intelligent building control.
Medium voltage equipment is used for transforming energy and transmitting it to the end user.

In the market for automation and control technology we manufacture equipment through the world class Telemecanique brand.
This division of the company offers products to control and supply power to equipment. These include contactors, overload relays, soft starters, speed drives, sensors and operator terminals.
We also provide automation solutions based on PLCs and automation platforms, as well as configuration, programming and operating support software, communication networks and field buses.
